5.1 magnitude earthquake jolts Myanmar, Ctg
The moderate earthquake struck the Sagaing region of Myanmar
An earthquake jolted the southern-most part of the country, mostly felt in Chattogram, on Wednesday night.
The tremors were felt at 10:51pm, Assistant Meteorologist Farzana Sultana of Bangladesh Meteorological Department confirmed to The Daily Star.
She said the epicentre of the quake was in Myanmar and measured 5.1 on the Richter scale.
Meanwhile, earthquake-related website Volcano Discovery reported that an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 struck the Sagaing region of Myanmar. The earthquake hit at a depth of 130km underground.
