Abdus Sattar appointed PM’s principal secretary

Retired secretary takes office under contractual appointment

Former secretary ABM Abdus Sattar has been appointed as the principal secretary to the prime minister on a contractual basis for one year.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard yesterday.

Sattar, who previously served in senior roles within the civil service, will now assume the highest administrative post in the Prime Minister’s Office.

He was appointed private secretary to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman last month.
