HSTU students block road, damage buses

Students of Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology (HSTU) on Sunday put up barricade on Dinajpur-Panchagarh highway and vandalised buses protesting beating up of three fellows by the transport workers. Sources said, the three students of the university came to the campus by a bus from Sayedpur at about 4:00pm. At one stage, conductor of the bus picked up a quarrel with the students over bus fair. Later, they beat up the three students taking them to a nearby bus terminal. As the news spread on the campus, the angry students of the university barricaded the highway for two hours from 7:00pm. They also damaged three running buses.
