Fresh case against Narail collaborator Sulaiman, his 8 accomplices
Another case was filed against Moulana Sulaiman alias Faruki, a notorious collaborator of the Pakistan occupation forces in 1971, and his eight accomplices with Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court in Narail yesterday.
Khaibar Tarafder, brother of martyred Atiar Tarafder of Tularampur village under Narail Sadar upazila, filed the petition case against them for killing his brother during the Liberation War in 1971.
Moulana Sulaiman, 70, the then president of Narail Sub-division Peace Committee, Abdus Salam, 71, Rauf Mollah, 65, Altaf Hossain, 65, Ali Miah, 62, Abul Khaer Mollah, 56, Akram Hossain, 55, Torap Mollah, 61, of Tularampur village and Abdus Sattar, 60, of Boramara village under Narail Sadar upazila have been made accused in the case.
After hearing the petition, Senior Judicial Magistrate Musrat Jerin asked the officer-in charge of Narail Police Station to record a case against the nine accused.
In the complaint, Khaibar Tarafder stated that the accused picked up his brother from Tularampur on July 17 in 1971 and killed them on July 20.
He was buried with other martyrs on the premises of Rupganj Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) rest house.
Earlier on April 6 this year, another case was filed against Moulana Sulaiman with the same court.
