3 held on charge of abduction

Police on Tuesday arrested a man and his two sons at Bikna on the outskirts of the district town in connection with a schoolgirl abduction case. Arrestees Ripon Howlader, 22, his brother Bellal Howlader, 30, and their father Mansur Howlader, 55, are residents of Bikna. Earlier, Shumi Akhter, a Class V student of Government Poura Ideal Primary School, was kidnapped from in front of the school in the morning of July 5. Victim's father Wazed Ali filed a case with local police station. The three accused went into hiding though the girl was rescued five days after the incident.
