Serial killer Rasu Khan, who confessed to killing 11 women in Chandpur, was yesterday placed on a six-day fresh remand. Chandpur Court Inspector Harinath Roy on behalf of Chandpur Model Police Station prayed for 10 days' remand for Rasu to Chief Judicial Magistrate Mozammel Haque. The magistrate granted six days' remand. "Sir, how many times will you place me on remand? I have been grilled for last several days. I myself have done everything. I have no godfather. Then why others are being implicated,” Rasu told the magistrate. He further said, “Sir, I have become sick. Let me stay in jail for a few days. Then put me on remand again." Police took Rasu to the court at around 2:00pm. He seemed relaxed. He shaved off his beard. Earlier, he was seen puffing cigarette in the court police room. Investigating officer of the case SI Nazrul was also seen sitting by Rasu and puffing cigarette. Sub-Inspector Abdur Rahman of Chandpur Model Police Station said police recovered the body of a woman named Kohinoor from Dakatia area in Sadar upazila on October 23 last year. Rasu confessed to killing Kohinoor in his statement in the court under Section 164. Police said he was taken on fresh remand in Kohinoor murder case.
