3 JMB men sent to jail in Khagrachhari

Three members of outlawed militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) were produced in court and sent to jail after scheduled hearing. Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Abul Bashar Munshi fixed November 7 for next hearing. Investigation Officer (IO) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman said they have got important information from the militants but they cannot be divulged for the sake of investigation. The three JMB men were second in command of Chittagong division Mohammad Abdur Rahim alias Zahid alias Saifullah, 25, Delwar Hossain, 40, and Mohammad Yunus Miah 20. Earlier, the same court allowed police to take the arrestees on 7 days remand on September 29 following a case filed with Matiranga police station on September 28 under Explosive Substances Act 1908 and Anti-Terrorism Ordinance 2008. The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested the three on September 25 from Shantipur under Matiranga upazila of the district.
