Robbers injure three

Three people were injured as a gang of robbers beat them mercilessly at Hatimuri village in Monoharganj upazila early Sunday. Locals said the masked robbers numbering 25/30 stormed into the house of expatriate Shahidullah at about 2:30am. They took the house inmates hostage at gunpoint and looted 60 tolas of gold, Tk 2 lakh in cash and other valuables. When the house inmates cried out for help the robbers beat them mercilessly leaving Sahidullah, his nephew Rubel and sister-in-law Nasima Akter injured.
