2 Rasu's aides remanded

Two accomplices of self-confessed serial killer Rasu Khan have been placed on a four-day remand. Police produced Rusu's three accomplices--Manik, 32, Basir Ullah, 40, and Manik's wife Sufia, 28, in Chandpur Judicial Magistrate's Court Friday night, seeking seven days' remand for them. The magistrate granted four days' remand for Manik and Basir and sent Sufia to jail hajat under Section 154. Police raided three spots in Tongi area under Gazipur district early Thursday and arrested the three. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ranjit Kumar Palit of Faridganj Police Station said Manik and Basir were shown arrested in connection with the killing of an unidentified woman at Sobhanpur under Faridganj upazila on September 1, 2007.
