A Rajshahi court yesterday rejected bail prayers of the seven arrested members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). The arrestees filed their bail prayers through their lawyers and the court of metropolitan magistrate BM Tarikul Kabir turned them down, said court inspector Debendranath Das. The JMB militants are, the outfit's Rajshahi division chief Ashraf alias Haider, Naogaon district chief Abdur Rahim, Natore district chief Shahabuddin and JMB ehsar (full-time) members Md Momtaz, Asadul Islam, Rohidul, and Isarul Islam. They were sent to jail custody on October 21 on completion of interrogation in Dhaka. They were arrested from four greater Rajshahi districts in early October with jehadi books and CDs prepared by the outfit.
