2 outlaws held in Pabna, arms recovered

The law enforcers on Monday arrested two operatives of Janajudhha faction of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) in Sadar upazila. Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an outlaw at Darisardiar village with firearm while Ataikula police arrested another outlaw from Sadullahpur village. The arrestees are Akkas Ali,45, son of Ezem Sardar of village Teligram and Saheb Ali,35, son of Kuddus Ali of village Nandanpur. A team of Rab-12 raided Darishardiar village at about 9:30 pm on Monday when the outlawed operatives were holding a secret meeting. The team arrested Akkas Ali from the spot. Rab also recovered a shutter gun and two bullets from him. Akkas is a member of PBCP Janajudhha faction and accused in six cases including two for murder, Rab said. Ataikula police led by officer-in-charge (OC) Sirajul Islam raided a den at Sadullahpur village and arrested Saheb Ali, another cadre from the spot. The arrestee is an accused in four murder cases and a listed criminal in Pabna, the OC said.
