Three murdered in Rangpur

Three people were murdered in separate incidents in the district on Wednesday night. Monwara Begum, 40, was allegedly beaten to death by her husband Wares Ali at Borodargah village under Pirgachha upazila. Police recovered the body at around 12:30 yesterday and sent it to Rangpur Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Police said the body bore torture marks. Victim's father Mohammad Ali lodged a murder case against Wares Ali with Pirgachha Police Station. Muggers killed a vegetables vendor at Kobaru under Porshuram Union of Gangachara upazila at midnight. Police said a gang of muggers way laid Sobuj Miah, 25, of Gajghanta village of the upazila while he was returning home after selling vegetables in Rangpur town. A schoolboy was murdered at Mandrail village under Gangachhara upazila. The victim, Rabu Miah, 12, was a student of class five of Changmari Government Primary School. Locals found the body on a paddy field near his house yesterday morning and informed the police who recovered the body and sent it to hospital for autopsy.
