3 docs, 2 nurses sued on charge of neglect

Three doctors and two nurses were sued yesterday on charge of neglect following recent death of a woman at Jhenidah. Victim's brother filed the case with Jhenidah Chief Judicial Magistrate's woman at Victim's brother filed the case with Jhenidah Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court accusing Dr Hasanuzzaman, Dr Shamima Sultana, Dr Abu Sayed and staff nurse Rozina Khatun and Rahima Begum the chief judicial magistrate than ordered the OC of the Sadar police station to take lawful action after recording the case. According to the case statement, pregnant Masura, wife of Zahidul Islam of Shakharidah village under Harinakundo upazila was admitted to Shamima Clinic on December 1. Owner of the clinic Dr Shamima at first tried herself to make delivery. Later, the patient was shifted to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital the next day as her condition deteriorated. On December 6, Masura died due to negligence of the on duty doctors and nurses of Sadar Hospital alleged Riful, who filed the case with Jhenidah Chief Judicial Magistrate's court. Earlier, another woman named Trishna died at Shamima Clinic allegedly due to negligence and a murder case was filed with Jhenidah Sadar police staiton in this connection.
