Pensioners & red-tapism
The government should open one-stop service centres for old pensioners, so that they do not have to run from one office and table to another. This is essential in view of the new pension scales announced by the government.
The present situation is not at all pensioner-friendly, in view of outdated rules and regulations, and corrupt practices now prevailing in society.
Some pensioners draw their monthly pension through their bank accounts. Necessary procedural instructions may be issued to the banks, for quick disposal of paperwork.
