Why deprive them?
Taimur's agonising report in Star Weekly Magazine (Nov:9) on children denied education , because they do not know who is their father, is a shame on society, as well as the country. Frankly, the write-up left me shaken and saddened beyond words.
It is a slur on us; for it demonstrates the crude backwardness of the country, manned by officials without any sense of humanity and responsibility towards the fundamental right to knowledge and education!
It would be in the fitness of things, if DS through efforts of its investigative reporting team, finds out the real circumstances behind this uncivilised step of the Education Board! They should trace the whole episode and boldly identify the people concerned and the reasons behind such attitude of some government officials!
I believe these people in the "Education Board" are really uneducated, despite their degrees and diplomas. Such uneducated people need to be unmasked for our collective good.
