Shahjalal or Shah Jalal?

This refers to a news item in your daily with a photograph of Dhaka Airport (DS, Feb 24) where the new name of the airport is written Shahjalal. But what is the actual name? As we know the name of the saint ( buried at Sylhet) was Makhdum Jalal ad-Deen bin Muhammad and he was later known as Shaikh-ul-Mashaikh Hazrat Shah Jalal ad-Din al-Mujarrad. Those who so quickly changed the name should have used their intellectual capability to write the name correctly. The name change was a silly decision and writing the name wrongly was the utmost proof of these peoples' thinking power.
