Extortion
Extortion is the order of the day. In Zia International Airport, railway stations, bus stands, at tender submission and even in the kitchen markets.
If you go to Mohammadpur Town Hall market and park your car you will invariably find someone stretching his arms and asking for car parking charge. As far as my knowledge goes, this car parking lot has not been given to any one for toll collection by Dhaka City Corporation. All these are fully known to the law enforcing agencies. Is it not the responsibility of the law enforcing agencies to protect the people from these kinds of harassment?
Will the D.C. North (Police) ask the OC of Mohammadpur Thana to look into it?
