Renowned interventional cardiologist Prof Chandy arrives
Chief Interventional Cardiologist of Christian Medical Centre (CMC), Vellore, Professor Dr Sunil Thomas Chandy will arrive in Dhaka today in a two day visit, says a press release. During his short visit, Professor Chandy will speak in a symposium on the treatment and care of complex cardiac diseases on November 26 and 27 at Square Hospital, Dhaka. Prof Chandy will also exchange views with the eminent cardiologists of Bangladesh regarding modern treatment of complicated cardiac problems. Prof Chandy, one of the pioneer cardiologists in India is specialised in echocardiogram, cardiac catheterisation (angiogram), angioplasty and stenting, valvotomy, pace maker implantation and explantation, devise closure, cardiac syncronisation therapy, and AICD implantation. Prof Chandy has been awarded numerous national and international awards for his outstanding contributions in cardiology. A good number of his research papers have been published in national and international medical journals.
