Food processing

Zabed Wali, Pahartali, Chittagong
As I walk along the kitchen market that is adjacent to the area I live in, I see heaps of vegetables-- tomatoes, cauliflowers, cabbages . This pile of greens has been a very common sight throughout the last two months of winter. In other words, this is the season of vegetables. As the prices of these stuff are moderate, people have their share of these products of winter. Sometimes it happens that the farmers do not get a fair price as their produce is perishable and they have no option but to sell at a low price. Food processing is a new art in this country. The unemployed youth could be trained in this art so that they can earn a living. It could prevent the wastage of valuable food items.
