AL leadership

A Mawaz, Dhaka
The immoral activities of the BCL (Bangladesh Chattro League) are tainting the image of Bangabandhu Awami League. The top AL leadership should be held responsible for this. Attention has to be paid to the future voters' lack of confidence in the party. Our political leaders do not pay much attention to long-term effects in the public sector. A tree with a rotten root cannot grow up in a healthy manner, and offer shade, fruits, and flowers. Leadership is a hard taskmaster, calling for hard work and sacrifices. There is nothing called myopic leadership. The Opposition is also dynasty led; therefore useless as a tool for correction. Bangladesh has the human resources and basic natural resources for rapid development of the new nation; but what we notice after decades is the continued decadence prevailing all around. Minimum moral standards have to be maintained for sustainable rate of growth; but myopic outlooks are sabotaging the public interest. These BCL workers would provide the future leadership in the party; but credibility has become an acute issue now. Let not moss gather in the political jungles. The situation might go out of control if not nipped in the bud. The dynasty rules on both sides are hampering the healthy growth of other political parties/players. The ad hoc leadership scenario cannot be allowed to continue. Of course the people get the government they deserve! How to remove the middle men (sycophants)? The motivation has to come from the top.
