Better batting, but…
The batsmen of our cricket team have somewhat improved in scoring rate and style but the continued inclusion of Ashraful and his 'promised' low scores are absolutely debilitating for our team. It defies all and any logic of our post match analysis. He seems to have lost focus.
Let us please look at the scenario positively and bring about the following changes:
1. Please rest Ashraful.
2. Bring Kapali as a replacement of Ashraful.
3. Include Shahriar Nafees to replace Kayes (Shahriar has a lot more cricket in him).
4. Mahmudullah should be 'upped' in batting order.
5. Let our captain go 5 down; after all he is a recognised bowler.
6. Mashrafe could be kept close at hand and nurtured better.
7. Razzak's bowling is too expensive; a rethink is required.
8. Let us hunt for or develop a fast bowling all-rounder!
8. They all need intensive mental training and confidence building exercises.
9. Cricket, like any other game, has become more technical.
10. A lot more quality school, college and 1st class cricket must be played.
11. Let there be more private sector sponsorship.
12. We must develop home grown coaches, thinking about the long run.
