Foreign managers
It is noted with grave concern that more and more foreign management level staff is being recruited by different companies of Bangladesh. The simple excuse is that competent manpower is not available in BD! Have the companies put any ads in local newspapers? Have the local available resources been tapped? It is pathetically negative.
Then how do such nationals get visas and work permits?
What will happen to local graduates/talents? Then what are local universities/institutions (IBA) and training grounds producing? Job situation is getting bleaker by these practices.
The govt. has shown willingness recently to 'import' more foreigners to fill the expertise gap! Now, this was not required. Allow local talents to groom and face the challenges. There should not be a wholesale 'import'.
There has to be a competent, independent body/watchdog looking and monitoring these professional requirements of different employers. A clearance has to be obtained to get these permissions. A clear guideline has to be in place governing these issues, thus protecting our graduates/job seekers.
The foreigners are EATING our own prospects charging salaries and perks amounting even TEN times of the local pay structure!
I invite the attention of our labour, foreign, and education minister, plus the intelligentsia as well as 'SUJAN' to assess the situation and please respond.
Please stop this gradual decay.
