Our postal service
With the motto of connecting people with their near and dear ones, Bangladesh Postal Service has been working since 1971. Biman Mallick was the first person who designed the stamp for Bangladesh Postal Service. There was a time when writing letters was seen as a very effective means of sharing ideas. But, the situation is changing gradually. People, whether rural or urban, avoid postal service nowadays. They are using digital communication systems. I am not saying that digital communication is bad; rather I am talking about the deterioration of our postal service. Unlike Bangladesh, in different countries of the world, postal services are still satisfactory. The govt. must take positive steps to make the postal service an effective means of communication, on priority basis!
