Deviation from the spirit

The spirit of sacrificing cattle or Korbani seems to have deviated in most of the cases. Now it becomes like a social rite. Buying costly cattle publicizes the buyer's wealth. Some show it off as the symbol of their social and political status. It is observed that some political leaders offer cattle for sacrificing to their party men in their constituencies. How much does it conform to the real spirit of sacrifice? The lower middle class has also deviated from the mains spirit of the occasion. Many of them buy animals to show that they are wealthy although they may actually be in a hard up situation. But Korbani may not be compulsory (Wazeeb) for them. As per the financial affordability a person will decide how much he will spend for this occasion
