Biharis as voters
The EC has adopted the right policy and the decision to enrol the Urdu-speaking Biharis on the current voter list except of course the ones who expressed their allegiance to Pakistan and have been living inside the refugee camps. But it is shocking to know through the electronic media that some of our people have raised objections. This is most unfortunate. Those who were born in Bangladesh have the right to become voters here. The EC has very rightly explained that all of them have integrated into society through marriage etc. Most of them are skilled and have also been contributing to the economy of the country.
