HC asks SP, OC to appear on Jan 13

The High Court yesterday ordered SP of Madaripur Sardar Tamizuddin and OC of Rajoir Moshiur Rahman to appear before it on January 13 on charges of assaulting a housewife. The court also directed the law secretary to form a judicial inquiry committee within seven days to investigate the incident. SP Tamizuddin allegedly assaulted Sheela Mallick, a housewife of Aruakandi village of Rajoir upazila on October 5 last year, when she went to his office for remedy of her husband who was earlier beaten by some local goons.
