CCC drive against illegal structures continues: 2 held
A mobile court of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) arrested two traders from KB Aman Ali Road in the port city during its drive for second day yesterday for setting up makeshift shops on footpath.
The arrestees were identified as Porimal Das, 35, and Mohammad Ali, 45.
Magistrate Sheikh Saleh Ahmed led the four-hour drive for the second day yesterday. Mobile court also evicted two timber shops for encroaching on K B Aman Ali Road.
Ahmed told The Daily Star that they arrested two kitchen traders as they were trying to reconstruct their shops that were evicted by the mobile court on Wednesday.
