Road crashes kill 6
At least six people were killed in separate road accidents in Chittagong and Dinajpur on Thursday night and Friday.
Our correspondent from Chittagong: Four people were killed in a road accident on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway at Chunati in Chittagong on Thursday night.
The deceased are a CNG-run three-wheeler driver Nurul Afsar, 35, son of Tanda Mia of Satkania, its passengers Md Syed Hossain, 45, son of Ezahar Mia of Lama, Md Ismail, 37, son of Abdul Kader of Lama and Reaz Uddin, 11, son of Md Iliyas of Lohagara.
Our correspondent from Dinajpur adds: A veggie trader was killed in a road accident while a Dhaka bound rice loaded truck collided head-on with a roadside parked truck on Dinajpur-Dhaka highway at Gucchagram village in Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur yesterday.
The deceased is Shaharul Islam 40, son of Keramat Ali village Dhalihar of Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur.
In another accident an elderly person was killed when a Dinajpur-bound bus hit him while he was crossing Dinnajpur-Rangpur highway at Gopalganj village in Dinajpur yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Bhola Barman 50, son of Khoka Barman village Bankali of Dinajpur Sadar upazila.
After the accident, agitated villagers blocked the highway.
