BSF returns body of Bangladeshi girl
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) yesterday returned the body of Bangladeshi girl to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) through a flag meeting in the West Rumkhana border area under Fulbari upazila here.
Felani, 15, daughter of Nur Islam Nuru of Banarvita village of the upazila, was shot dead in Anantapur border area by the BSF at about 6.00 am on Friday.
BGB and police sources said Nur Islam went to India along with his daughter about 10 years ago. The BSF shot his daughter Felani as they were crossing the Indian border fencing, leaving her dead on the spot.
Indian border forces took away the body in their camp.
After postmortem of the body in India, BSF handed over it to Kashipur BGB Company Commander Naeb Subedar Abdur Razzak at 11:45am yesterday.
