Road accidents kill 3
At least three people were killed in separate road accidents in Thakurgaon and Chapainawabganj on Friday and yesterday.
Our correspondent from Thakurgaon reports: Two persons including a minor girl were killed in separate road accidents in Thakurgaon Sadar and Baliadangi upazila on Friday.
The first accident took place when a motorcyclist hit a roadside tree after losing control over the motorcycle on Thakurgaon-Farabari road at Sadar upazila, leaving him seriously injured. Locals rushed him to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased is Al-Amin, 28, son of Moinul Haque of Ghonibishthapur village of the same upazila.
The second accident occurred when a soil-laden tractor hit Juli, a minor girl, from behind while she was playing on ground beside her house leaving her dead on the spot at Shangaon village of Baliadangi upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Juli Akhter, 10, daughter of Wohidul Islam of the same village.
Our correspondent from Chapainawabganj adds: A schoolboy was killed in a road accident when a tractor hit him from behind while he was returning home after attending maktab, near his house at Pardhumi Hayatpur of Ghorapakhia union of Shibganj upazila yesterday morning.
The victim is kurban Ali, 12, son of Mofijuddin of the same upazila and a class five student of Pardhumi Hayatpur Government Primary School.
