BNP leaders once again urged the government to try the main plotters of 1/11 changeover in 2007 on sedition charges.
Saying that the 1/11 changeover was a conspiracy against the country, the BNP leaders said they would try the main plotters including the advisers of that caretaker government on sedition charges.
The BNP leaders have been making the demand for the last two years saying that the past caretaker government was an illegal government and it was hatching conspiracy against the country.
They told a rally in the city's Muktangan yesterday afternoon.
The BNP leaders also alleged that the ruling party is trying to manipulate the municipal elections. They threatened to launch a tough movement if the elections were not held in a free and fair manner.
BNP Standing Committee Member Moudud Ahmed urged the government to try that illegal caretaker government. If they don't try them then we will try them including the advisers of the caretaker government on sedition charges if BNP get chance, said Moudud.
The prime minister had said that she would publish a white paper about the misdeeds of that caretaker government but she did not do it, he said.
BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said that caretaker government had arrested the present prime minister too and it had sent notice to all the airports imposing a bar to her entrance to the country saying that she is dangerous for the country.
BNP Vice Chairman Shah Moazzem Hossain presided over the rally was also addressed by BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas, Joint Secretary General Aman Ullah Aman. Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque moderated the rally.
