Cleaning Dhaka before the world cup

Dhaka is regarded as one of the dirtiest cities of the world. ICC Cricket World Cup is just around the corner and Bangladesh is to host this great sporting event. Keeping in view the upcoming tournament, may I request the authorities concerned to import a few sweeping trucks from abroad on an urgent basis for the purpose of cleaning Dhaka, Chittagong and other such places, where this World Cup Cricket is scheduled to take place. This cleaning effort shall greatly enhance the dignity and status of the country to the millions of viewers throughout the world. As I do not have any excess to the authorities concerned, I have taken the opportunity of conveying the above message to them through these columns. I think The Daily Star can also take up the cause for enhancing the dignity of the nation.
