Full hearing on Jan 18
The Dhaka District Judge's Court yesterday took up an appeal for hearing filed by the new executive committee of the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) for vacating a lower court stay order on its functions.
After a lengthy hearing, Judge Mohammad Jahangir Hossain fixed January 18 for full hearing on the issue.
The court also issued notices upon Golam Sarwar and Saiful Alam, the opposite parties, to appear before it on the scheduled date.
New President Kamal Uddin Sabuj and General Secretary Syed Abdal Ahmed filed the appeal on Wednesday against a stay order on January 10.
