Establishing universities in every district
Hon'ble Prime Minister has pledged to establish universities in every district of the country. I have something to say in this regard.
At present there are colleges in almost every district. Besides, there are about eighty universities (public and private) in the country. A lot of madrasas are also there. It is often heard that there are lack of teachers and employees in these institutions. A lot of students graduate from these institutions every year. We know very well the condition of our graduates. There are a large number of educated unemployed young persons who are leading a hopeless life.
In these circumstances, establishing university in every district will not solve the problem. Thus, it would rather be wise for the government to upgrade the condition and capability of the existing institutions and increase the number of seats in them. At the same time, job opportunities should be created for the young jobseekers.
