Free Cancer Camp on World Cancer Day
In order to mark the World Cancer Day that was observed yesterday, Centre for Cancer Prevention and Research (CCPR) organised a day-long free camp at its Gazipur Cancer Hospital situated at Chandana Cowrasta.
A team from National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital (NICRH) lead by Dr Md Habibullah Talukder Ruskin, Associate Professor and Head of Cancer Epidemiology, NICRH screened people for early detection. Relevant investigations were made available at subsidised rate. The team of expert also consulted patients living with cancer about treatment options available locally.
