Mumtaj Begum denied Ekushey Padak
M. Emad's letter published on January 23rd is a shame on our authorities. In this case the minister turned down the proposal for awarding the 'Ekushey Padak' to Mumtaj Begum; only because he never heard of her! This confirms the opinion, that without 'Tadbir' with accompanying ' the usual sweets' or 'Nazrana or crisp currency notes' nothing gets done! The 'Nazrana' has real power to crystallize even fiction into fact! No 'Nazrana'; see no good, hear no good, and do no good; that is the fact.
