Give importance on writing skills

Being an engineer is not easy. Only young minds with a passion for numbers, logic and physics can pursue this career. Just for comparison, over the time, medical programmes have extended their time almost twice as much as they used to have back in those days. Engineering programmes, on the other hand, have still restricted themselves into a span of mere four years. However, with the great advancement of technology, the course load has significantly increased with more and more up-to-date science and its corresponding applications that students need to gorge. Also, during these rough few years, the students have to undergo a lot of training with hand on lab exercises and rigorous writing courses. Moreover, while writing the technical reports or essay questions, the grammar, organisation and adherence do not undergo as much scrutiny as the results, plots and graphs do. As a result, the colleges are delivering many fresh graduates with tremendous knowledge of science but with poor communication skills. One of the important parts of the research is publication in scientific journal or conferences, not to mention about the daily reports, proposal writings after becoming an active engineer. If any undergraduate student have not thought of improving his/her writing skills, I think, it is imperative to start immediately.
