Let's face it - Shakib's decision to bowl first was the right decision. The problem was the execution -Bangladeshi bowlers (especially the pace bowlers) did not stick to their plan. Everyone could see that the dew factor was affecting India's bowling. Imrul HB
Shakib should be punished for his stupidity to sent India to bat first. The pitch is a batting paradise and India has the best batting lineup in the world. Moreover, if the team management has influenced the decision then it should be investigated. There should be nothing called honorable loss and so called respectable total. The team should have a winning mentality at all stage. Firoz Ahmed
Bangladesh really played well. No doubt India scored high but in modern cricket this score has been challenged by many teams. .Bangladesh batted well and hope they will play their natural game and enjoy the upcoming matches. Anonymous
We have missed Mashrafe in this match when our bowlers were badly beaten. I can say our bowling and fielding was really disappointing. BD team should work in this area for next matches. Still I am hopeful for the next matches. Hope to see BD team in quarter finals. Shamima Begum Shelley
It was a complete failure of the Bangladesh bowling side. It just did not make any impact on those great Indian batsmen, we felt like we were watching a second division match at Dhaka outer stadium. Indians just had too easy a time with their batting; they were virtually smashing it all around. Could it be possible that Indian used black magic to conduct an impact on our bowling side? Sharif
It was totally stupidly when our tigers sent the world class batsmen to beat us !!! Allah gave us opportunity to win the toss but what our rubbish decision...!? Sheikh Monirul Islam, Opee
The absolute failure of the bowling department was not only surprising, it is dreadfully shocking too. In recent days we were briefed by so many big stalwarts within our cricketing industry that how much we improved, especially by Atahar Ali recently at Channel i Tritio Matra...it was absolutely heart-breaking. Akkas
For this humiliating defeat, I want to blame Coach, team Management and the captain. Why they choose fielding first? For remaining matches inclusion of Mohammad Ashraful, Shariar Nafees and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza are required. May be chief coach has ego problem so he is creating bad atmosphere and obstacles for aforesaid players and they are losing their confidence level. Tapan
Hey I'm an Indian but still I have to say Bangladesh played well today. Md. Russell Talukder
The Indian captain started playing the match from out side the field ahead of the schedule, right from the moment he addressed the journalists by ventilating his plan that he would send Bangladesh to bat, if he would win the toss, a decision, which India would never have executed in reality, as it is evident from the statistics that India lost majority of their day-night matches batting at night. Mishu
I don't think the Tigers went down. I think the Tigers played well. There is always room for improvement but I was not at all disappointed with our home team. I would like to pass the message to them that they have played well and we hope they will do better in future. Yesterday they played with such a strong team and where able to score such a high score, I felt proud and happy. At home we had a bet on who will be the winning team. Even those who said India would win, it's sensible and realistic, and we stick to our team. Madsinner
To open the bowling with Shafiul Islam is nothing but an insult to the world cup cricket. One of the nicest bowlers ever in Bangladesh Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is out of team due to injury. But he is totally fit now to play....and Ashraful has been kept out from this crucial match...I think something is going wrong in BCB. We don't see good bowling attack with these inexperienced fast bowlers....we had many better options to play with. Syed Rasel and Shahadat Hossain were better options. Chandra Mani Chakma
Tigers go down fighting is true and we are satisfied with the score. There is not so strong bowling line in our team. If the tigers bowling and fielding improved they might even reach semis or quarter finals. Muzaffar siddique
Following up the world cup from California I was amazed to find how silly and stupid for us not to go for batting even after winning the toss!!!!!! I think there must be an inquiry of game fixing where money might have changed hands. I request our cricket board to fire the captain with such a poor judgment. This is impossible unless there was game fixing. He does not deserve to be the captain. Dr Karim
Although Tamim batted well but he had nearly 40 dot balls. Please Tamim look at that. Sohel Ahmmed
Bangladesh is not bad.......I enjoyed this game very much.
