Unesco to erect Shaheed Minar in Paris
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) will erect a Shaheed Minar at its Paris headquarters, as a sign of respect to the language martyrs of Bangladesh.
This was revealed by Unesco Director-General Irina Bokova when she met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the meeting room of the UN's cultural wing's headquarters yesterday.
In reply, Hasina said she is very happy to learn that Unesco is going to erect Shaheed Minar, said her Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad.
“I hope Unesco will erect the Shaheed Minar soon,” Hasina said.
