Two killed in city

Two people, including a police informer, were killed by miscreants in two separate incidents in the city last night. A gang of four hacked Mohammad Shahin, 28, a police informer, indiscriminately with cleaver and sharp weapons at city's Uttar Jatrabari about 10:00pm. Shahin's friend Nadim was also injured as he tried to save Shahin. Shahin was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 10:40pm, police said. Meanwhile, Mohammad Masum, 35, an electrical hardware trader, was shot dead at city's Narinda road. A gang of unidentified criminals shot Masum in his head while he was retuning home from Shahjalal Market at Dholaikhal around 9:30pm. Local people rushed him to DMCH where doctors declared him dead.
