Youth kills grandmother
A youth chopped his grandmother to death and injured his grandfather over cutting down the branches of a mangos teen (Gaab) tree at their common boundary at Pashchim Chhoy village in Agoiljhara upazila yesterday.
The deceased was Nurjahan Begum, 65.
The victim's injured husband Ali Alam Howladar alias Tota Mia, 70 was admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
Local people caught their grandson Zakirul Howladar Zakir and handed him over to police.
