S Korea co donates edn materials to Bangladesh
A South Korean construction company has donated 50,000 metallic black boards and 5000 digital pianos worth about US $ 8 million to the primary and mass education ministry for the use of primary schools.
President of Booyoung Co. Eue Ki Kim on behalf of his Chairman Joong Keun Lee handed over the materials to Primary and Mass Education Minister Afsarul Ameen at a simple ceremony at the LGED auditorium in the city on Thursday, said a Korean Embassy press release.
Presided over by Secretary of the ministry AKM Abdul Awal Mazumder, the programme was attended, among others, by Ambassador of Korea Taiyoung Cho, Resident Representative of Koica Bangladesh Jung Wook Lee, Regional Director of Booyoung Co. Ltd., Director General of Directorate of Primary Education Shyamal Kanti Ghosh.
