4 injured in attack

Four people were injured, one with a bullet wound, in an attack over land dispute at Badda in the city yesterday. Among the injured, Mohammad Hossain, 24, suffered bullet wound, and Iman Ali, 38, Halima Begum, 40, and Ruhitin Begum, 40, were hacked. They were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Police arrested a youth Rabbi with a firearm from the spot. Rabbi along with his cohorts shot and hacked the victims, his maternal uncle and aunts, while he was trying to grab his maternal grandfather's land in Satarkul area around 2:00pm, said the police. His maternal uncle and aunts tried to stop him and sustained the injuries. Locals caught Rabbi from the spot and informed the police.
