Perform duties with sincerity
Ansar DG asks his men
Director General (DG) of Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) Major General Zahidur Rahman has asked the field level personnel to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty for successful implementation of the government's development programmes.
He said their sincere efforts would expedite the government's endeavour to build a poverty and hunger-free digital Bangladesh as dreamt by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He made the call while addressing a meeting of Rajshahi divisional Ansar and VDP, and Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank at its conference hall in Rajshahi as the chief guest on Sunday.
The DG said the Ansar force played a glorious role after giving guard of honour to the Mujib Nagar government during Liberation War, and the heroic act would remain as 'immemorial' to the nation.
The members of Ansar and VDP have been playing vital roles in rooting out terrorism and social crimes to ensure a peaceful and developed society, he added.
The present government has adopted various pragmatic measures for welfare of Ansar and VDP, he said.
In the meeting, he was briefed about the overall performance of the force in Rajshahi and Rangpur.
Director (Project) Nirmalendu Biswash, Deputy Director (Coordination) Saifur Rahman, Rajshahi Range Director Nur Nabi Chowdhury and District Commandant Syed Mustaque Hassana were, among others, present at the meeting.
