Long march begins Oct 28
The National Committee on Protection of Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports has announced a four-day Dhaka-Sunetra long march on October 28 to press home their 7-point demand.
Member Secretary of the Committee Anu Mohammad formally announced the programme at a press conference at Mukti Bhaban in the city yesterday.
The road march will start from the Jatiya Press Club at 10:00am on October 28.
Their 7-point demand include engaging local companies in exploring gas from Sunetra and Rashidpur gas fields, cancellation of all agreements signed with ConocoPhillips and implementation of the Phulbari agreement.
