Seven jail guards sacked
Seven jail guards of Sylhet Central Jail were sacked on Monday for using fake addresses and concealing information from the jail authority.
Confirming this, Deputy Jailer Nesar Alam Mukul said specific cases will be started against them.
Among the guards sacked were Abul Kalam, Billal Hossain, Delwar Hossain, Mohiuddin, Mohsin Miah and Awlad Hossain.
They all used fake addresses for getting the job, a police investigation report said.
Another sacked was Fazlur Rahman, who concealed information from the jail authority that he was a trainee of BDR in 2009 and was sacked for breaking discipline in Chittagong during BDR mutiny.
