Prof Ayub Khan
Prof Ayub Khan, chairman of the Department of Archaeology at Jahangirnagar University (JU), died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday at a hospital in the city.
He was buried at the campus graveyard yesterday, says a university press release.
A milad mahfil programme has been arranged at his resident in the university after Asr prayers on October 28.
Prof Ayub Khan was a JU student and joined here in 1996 as a lecturer of the department.
Vice-chancellor Prof Shariff Enamul Kabir, various departments of JU and the socio-cultural and political organisations expressed deep shock at his death.
