Moulvibazar gets new radio channel
“Radio Pollikontho”, a community radio network initiated by Brac, started its first transmission at Chandnighat union of Moulvibazar district yesterday, said a press release.
It will cover a radius of 17 kilometers around the station at Moulvibazar Sadar.
The radio channel aims to establish a sustainable media and enhance the local people's access to information.
The programmes will focus on issues of women and children's development, ensure people's participation in rural development and promote local culture and heritage.
News and entertainment activities will be aired in the local dialect.
