Death threat to Munni Saha
An unidentified miscreant left a packet containing two bullet cartridges, a piece of sandalwood and a letter with a death threat in front of the Gulshan residence of Munni Saha, head of news of ATN News, on Wednesday.
Sandalwood is used to cremate people of the Hindu community.
Munni filed a general diary (GD) with Gulshan Police Station in this connection yesterday afternoon.
The miscreant, calling himself Nobi Ullah Nobi, who had been demanding Tk 10 crore from her as extortion, also issued death threats to her from different mobile phone numbers since October 6 because she has not heeded the demand, she said.
Munni suspects people holding a grudge against her for her professional duties like interviews may be behind the threats.
