Dhaka gets land for HC office in Canberra

Bangladesh has got a piece of land to set up its High Commission office in Canberra, the capital of Australia. Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd conveyed the message when he paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her hotel meeting room in Perth yesterday, said PM's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad. Azad said Bangladesh did not get the land earlier “due to negligence of the past BNP-Jamaat government though the Australian government was keen.”
